This policy explains what information BED BUGS JAPAN (“we”) collects when you use bedbugsjapan.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. A Japanese version follows the English text.
Who we are
BED BUGS JAPAN is independently operated. You can contact us through the form on our Corrections & Hotel Responses page or by message to @BedBugsJapan on X.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. When you use our contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, whether you are a hotel representative or a traveler, the hotel and report you are writing about, your message, and any evidence you provide.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider and our security plugin automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of access. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
- Map settings stored in your browser. Our map remembers your chosen map style, place-name language, view and date filter in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.
How we use information
- To reply to your message and handle correction requests.
- To publish a hotel’s response next to a report, when the hotel has agreed to this in the form. We publish the response and the hotel name, not the sender’s personal name or email address.
- To understand and improve the site.
- To protect the site against spam, abuse and attacks.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
Some parts of the site load content from other services. When they do, your browser connects to those services, which may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — site statistics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Map tiles from OpenFreeMap, using OpenStreetMap data, and map software loaded from the unpkg content delivery network.
- X (Twitter) — embedded posts and share buttons.
- Links to booking and review sites (for example Rakuten Travel, Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Google Maps). These sites have their own privacy policies.
Advertising and affiliate links. In the future we may show advertising (such as Google AdSense) or use affiliate links to booking sites. If we do, those services may use cookies to show ads and to record bookings made through our links, and we will update this policy before we start. We will never remove or change a report because of advertising or payment.
How long we keep information
We keep messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and to keep a record of corrections and published hotel responses. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by contacting us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.

BED BUGS JAPAN（以下「当サイト」）は、bedbugsjapan.com の利用にあたって取得する情報とその扱いを、以下のとおり定めます。
運営者
BED BUGS JAPAN 運営者。お問い合わせは訂正・ホテル回答ページのフォーム、またはXの@BedBugsJapanへのメッセージでお願いします。
取得する情報
- お問い合わせフォームに入力された情報（お名前、メールアドレス、ホテル関係者か旅行者か、対象のホテルと報告、本文、証拠となる資料）
- Google アナリティクスによるアクセス情報（閲覧ページ、おおよその地域、ブラウザの種類など。Cookieを使用します）
- サーバーとセキュリティ機能が自動で記録する技術情報（IPアドレス、ブラウザの種類、アクセス日時など）
- 地図の表示設定（背景の地図、地名の言語、表示形式、期間）。お使いのブラウザ内にのみ保存され、当サイトには送信されません
利用目的
- お問い合わせへの返信と、訂正依頼への対応
- ホテルが同意した場合の、報告の横へのホテル回答の掲載（掲載するのは回答内容とホテル名で、送信者個人の氏名やメールアドレスは掲載しません）
- サイトの改善
- スパム・不正アクセスの防止
個人情報を販売することはありません。法令にもとづく場合を除き、本人の同意なく第三者に提供することもありません。
外部サービス
当サイトは、Google アナリティクス（Google LLC）、地図の配信（OpenFreeMap、OpenStreetMap のデータ、unpkg）、X（旧Twitter）の埋め込みと共有ボタンを利用しています。これらのサービスは、それぞれのプライバシーポリシーにもとづき、IPアドレスの取得やCookieの設定を行う場合があります。Google アナリティクスはオプトアウトアドオンで無効にできます。
今後、広告（Google AdSense など）や予約サイトのアフィリエイトリンクを導入する場合は、事前にこのポリシーを更新します。広告や支払いを理由に、報告を削除・変更することはありません。
保存期間・開示等の請求
お問い合わせ内容は、対応と、訂正・回答掲載の記録に必要な期間保存します。保有する個人情報の開示・訂正・削除をご希望の場合は、上記のお問い合わせ先までご連絡ください。Cookieはブラウザの設定で無効にでき、その場合もサイトは利用できます。

本ポリシーを改定した場合は、ページ上部の日付を更新します。
