BED BUGS JAPAN helps travelers check for bed bug reports before booking a hotel in Japan. We collect reports that are already public and put them on one map, with the source and date of each.
How we collect reports
We gather reports from:
- Public hotel reviews on booking and review sites
- News articles
- Public posts on social media
- Reports sent to us by readers
Each pin on the map links to its source and shows the date of the report. We do not inspect hotels ourselves, and we cannot confirm every report.
What a report means
- A report means someone said they saw bed bugs at that hotel at that time.
- It does not mean the hotel has bed bugs today. Many hotels treat the problem quickly.
- A hotel with no report is not guaranteed to be free of bed bugs.
- Older reports are marked as past reports.
How we use AI
Our travel guides are drafted with the help of AI tools. Our editors check the facts and sources before publishing, and we link to the sources we use. If you spot an error, please tell us.
